Capturing maternity in the way that I do – a mix of family and a bump – brings me incredible joy. I love making maternity sessions more than throwing on a dress at sunset – as gorgeous as those images are – they lack story, personality – real memories. I want to remind of you this time when you were pregnant. Were you in the middle of a Reno? If it was 1985, that Reno would be in the photos! Were you just moved into a brand new home? Maybe, you are in the middle of decorating the nursery – how amazing would it be to show your child when they grow up what life was like? Photos are time stamps and I think that got lost when social media made sunset photos all the rage – don’t get me wrong, those images are amazing – but they miss the story telling part of our lives.
